Television Station PDs Picks Nobody as Song of the Year

Who is the Best Singer, Best Song, Best Male and Female singer, Best Newcomer and Best Incident of 2008? 20 PDs from Korea’s 3 largest broadcasting company KBS, MBC and SBS came together to vote in a survey done on 8th, 9th December to find out the Best Singer, Best Song, Best Male and Female singer, Best Newcomer and Best Incident for the year 2008.

Best Song of the Year went to Nobody by the Wonder Girls. During the survey for this category, Big Bang’s Haru Haru got 6 votes and Sunset Glow got 1 vote. Other songs that got voted were Jewelry’s One More Time (2 votes), Brown Eyed Girls L.O.V.E (1 vote) and Son Dambi’s Crazy (1 vote).

Big Bang and the Wonder Girls were voted the Best Male and Female Group having received 13 and 14 votes respectively from the PDs.

The Wonder Girls stepped onto the red carpet at the 23rd Golden Disk Awards Ceremony this evening at 6.24pm. Sun Ye’s outfit was so revealing! Half of her assets were dropping out! You can see her adjusting it as she walked.

Wonder Girls Wins Digital Bonsang @ 23rd Golden Disk Awards 081210

The Wonder Girls picked up the Digital Bonsang award for Nobody at the 23rd Golden Disk Awards Ceremony. Other winners include MC Mong (Circus), Jewelry (One More Time) and Brown Eyed Girls (L.O.V.E). The Digital Bonsang Award are awarded to singers who sell the most albums online/digitally.

Apart from Nobody who dominated online sales for the latter half of 2008 by themselves, the other 3 winners shared the spoils in the earlier half. The Digital Daesang however went to Jewelry for One More Time who outsold even the Wonder Girls by a mile. And so the Wonder Girls only went home with one award tonight. Big Bang who did not even attend won nothing.

Just when you thought the Wonder Girls tango and dance version of Nobody at the 2008 MKMK last month was their best-ever remix, here comes another one from the girls to top themselves again. Taking some inspiration from their 2nd fanmeeting earlier in the year, the Wonder Girls gave a 5-in-1 Nobody Remix version where each Wonder Girls performed a specific themed remix before coming together with a sexy hot dance to close out. It was great that every performance at the 23rd Golden Disk Awards was kept a surprise.
